I recently flew on a Southwest flight. While enjoying their beverage and snacks, I noticed the cups that carried my Diet Coke were different from the last time I flew with Southwest. They've always used small plastic cups, but this time the cups were small white cups. They seemed very sturdy and thick. Upon examination, I noticed "Woohoo for bamboo! Introducing our bamboo cup." Then below was a link to their Southwest.com/planet webpage. This page has a lot of content about Environmental Sustainability, including: "Our goal is to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, which will require a strategic mix of advanced long-term planning and near-term action."

Now, this is not an advertisement for Southwest or their sustainability goals! But, while heading to my Caribbean vacation, I couldn't help but think about the good that the industry that I work in is for us and our planet. It's great to work with companies who are all trying to change to be more circular, and to keep it green. Thank you for being a part of RLA, and for doing your part!
