Bob Shallenberger
VP Business Development
Bio
With more than 25 years of experience in logistics, distribution, marketing, manufacturing, product development, and importing ― including leading a company to the prestigious Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America ― Bob possesses a very diverse skill set. His candid understanding of business development, sales, marketing, and acquisition as well as his extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management adds a unique perspective to better serve suppliers and customers alike.
In addition to his more traditional roles in management and production, Bob is a sales, marketing, CRM, and SEO guru. Factor in his 20+ years negotiating and brokering win-win deals and it becomes clear why Bob is an invaluable resource to the Interco team.
Bob attended Saint Louis University where he studied English and Communication and was a member of the Billiken baseball team. As a professional, he has proudly supported the Lupus Foundation of America, the Humane Society of Missouri, and participated on several panels at the Washington University Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
Bob is married to Johanna Shallenberger, a practicing attorney specializing in public finance, commercial real estate and municipal bonds and has two sons, each a successful baseball player in his own right ― Bobby, a starting pitcher at the University of Missouri St. Louis and Mark, a two-way player at the University of Evansville.
Surprising to some, Bob is a published poet and a talented sports photographer. He is an expert and collector of Americana and sports memorabilia as well as an appraiser of antique handmade Persian and oriental rugs. Although his free time can be elusive, Bob always makes time to help those interested in learning from him.
