Jeremy Witte

VP, Returns, Damages and Recommerce

Bio

Jeremy received his Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army in 2002 from Tarleton State University, part of the Texas A&M University System. He commanded a light-cavalry and reconnaissance platoon during OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM in 2003-2004. He was next assigned to a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, serving at both the company and battalion level, where his final assignment included a 15 month deployment to Iraq where Jeremy was awarded the Bronze Star for actions in combat. After separating from the Army in 2008, Jeremy has worked with large organizations such as Walmart, Amazon.com, and GENCO in various operational and supply chain leadership positions. Jeremy developed a strong passion for reverse logistics and recommerce, focusing a majority of his career building innovative, technology driven solutions throughout the industry. In 2011 Jeremy co-founded Elovations Services Group, a third party logistics provider, focused on partnering to develop the Global Shipping Program in support of cross-border trade with one of the worlds largest online marketplace platforms and their global technology ecommerce partners. Jeremy joined Best Buy in 2015 as the Vice President of Returns, Damages, and Recommerce. He is responsible for leading the strategy, financial performance, and risk management of a multi-billion dollar portfolio of non-new inventory for Best Buy. He leads a cross-functional team consisting of operations, technology, business development, sales, analytics, and inventory management.
