In a significant move highlighting its commitment to innovation in the realm of reverse logistics, tech start-up STOCS has joined the Diamond Membership tier within the Reverse Logistics Association (RLA).

This distinction places STOCS at the forefront of the global dialogue surrounding returns and reverse logistics, underlining its dedication to shaping the future of the industry.

The RLA is the premier authority within the sector, offering invaluable resources, educational opportunities, and a platform for networking and collaboration.

At the Diamond level, STOCS will be one of the few companies helping to lead the RLA to develop new member benefits, share newest best practices, and influence the global voice of the association to the industry. In addition, STOCS gains access to a wealth of member-focused benefits, including conferences, seminars, committee meetings, and extensive industry literature.

STOCS Founder and CEO Sheldon Miller explained that the decision to align with the RLA was a strategic one, driven by a desire to amplify the company’s voice and help lead the debate on trends and developments.

“Our journey to revolutionize reverse logistics is deeply intertwined with our partnership with the RLA,” said Miller. “By leveraging the expansive network and resources provided by this association, we are set to drive meaningful change and innovation.”

The RLA fosters a collaborative environment where retailers, manufacturers, and solutions partners can come together to share best practices, address challenges, and explore new opportunities. Through events and initiatives, the RLA facilitates dialogue on a global scale. One of the standout offerings is the Reverse Logistics Annual Directory, a comprehensive resource that connects industry professionals with a myriad of service providers.

Tony Sciarrotta, Executive Director of the RLA, emphasizes the critical role that the association plays in addressing the escalating challenges posed by returns and reverse logistics in today’s marketplace. With consumer surveys revealing that a significant portion of returns stem from unmet expectations rather than product defects, it’s evident that there’s a pressing need for industry-wide collaboration and innovation to stem the tide.

“The rise of e-commerce has only compounded these challenges, making it imperative for manufacturers and retailers to rethink their approach to reverse logistics,” notes Sciarrotta. “Through our partnerships with forward-thinking companies like STOCS, we aim to equip our members with the tools, insights, and best practices needed to navigate this evolving landscape and drive sustainable change.”

As STOCS harnesses the collective expertise and resources of the RLA community, it is poised to make a lasting impact on the industry, driving efficiencies, reducing waste, and ultimately creating a more sustainable future for all.
